Here are links to two websites that have short guides for writing audio stories. You may find that you like one more than the other, but both cover a lot of the same ground.
The first is a guide posted by a former radio reporter at newscript.com You should start with this page that has links to the basics, including subjects such as sentence structure, leads and teases, and rewriting.
The second is a guide posted by B-Side Radio, which includes a sample script. We'll also discuss these suggestions in class.
Some examples of what an audio story should sound like are available here. These stories were done by students in an earlier reporting class.
